The time has come for the team built to beat the Warriors to get their chance at doing just that. The Houston Rockets did everything right this season including locking up home court throughout the playoffs. That’s the only real chance you can have against this current Golden State team. The combo of James Harden/Chris Paul is unmatched by any team in the league except the team they are playing. With Curry/Thompson in the backcourt and Durant/Green in the front court the Warriors create all kinds of nightmares for teams.
The Rockets should match up well at the guard positions and even with Capela vs Green, the problem starts and ends with Kevin Durant. The reigning Finals MVP has no match on the Houston team and really very few in the entire NBA. He is a unique combination of size and skill that has never been seen before. That is why this series will go as KD goes, if he plays well then expect the Warriors to have their way and if not well then we have a series.
I do think the Rockets will find a way to slow the Warriors down enough to make this a very interesting series but I still have the defending champ Warriors winning in 6. Houston’s inconsistency on the offensive end will eventually cost them a couple games and the other 4 games are toss ups that I give to the team with the best player.
